Sweating Thermal

Description
THIS PART OF ISO ISO 5660-1 specifies a method of test for measuring the lateral spread of flame along the surface of a specimen of a product orientated in the vertical position. It provides data suitable for comparing the performance of essentially flat materials, composites or assemblies that are used primarily as the exposed surface of walls in buildings and vehicles, such as train and ships.
Technical Specification :
- Male body-shape based on population data 22-30 body zones with independent measurement of skin temperature and heat flux
- Analysis of equivalent temperature, global thermal comfort indices and local sensation indices
- Calculation of thermal and evaporative resistance of clothing, for the total body or selected zones
- Sweating capacity of 0 – 1000 ml/m2/hour
- 130 or 260 sweat glands, each individually controlled, enabling a very precise dosing of sweat
- Special wicking skin optimizing the distribution of water on the surface of the manikin.
- Rapid heat-up to setpoint, typically less than 10 min
- Unique wire system that eliminates control delay and ensures a 100% stable set point
- A dense 2,2 mm wiring optimized to create a uniform heat loss across the full body surface
- Maximum sensitivity with heating wire and sensing only 0,2 mm under the paint
- Can be operated in all environments with ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to +50 degrees
- Cast in high quality glass fiber with robust joints, covered in a heat conducting compound.
- Operated through an intuitive PC SW with a graphical user interface and 4 control modes
- Can be placed standing, sitting or laying down depending on the application.
- Option to include external breathing system with or without heating and humidification of the exhale air
- Complies with all relevant ISO and ASTM standards
Software specifications :
- Automatic logging of data in a .csv file, with adjustable frequency
- Interface for setting up data exchange with external systems
- Configuration and calibration controlled through the SW
- Measurements, analysis and data logging per body zone
- Visualization of body zone T, heat flux or Teq
- Dynamic graphs showing heat flux and skin T
- Automatic stability indication to detect steady state
- 4 operational control modes
- Displays settings for/results from ambient sensors and devices
- Interface language – English.
- Compatible to all Windows versions.
